Darlene Marie (White) Singer, age 54, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at her home in Kennetcook, Hants County. Born in Halifax on September 25, 1960, she was a daughter of Eleanor (Gavin) and the late Russell White, who passed away on August 17, 2015. Darlene was known for her kind heart, love of laughter, her genuine and caring nature, and her love for stock car racing and animals. She was an LPN for over 30 years and loved taking care of others. Darlene is survived by her two children, Brent and Melissa; sister, Brenda; and brothers, Emerson (Jackie), Robert (Trinda), and Brian (Cheryl). She also has many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Darlene was predeceased by her paternal and maternal grandparents. Cremation has taken place with no visitation or reception by request. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 21 at 1pm at the J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home in Kennetcook, Deacon Wilfred Boudreau officiating, with a private family committal to follow in the Kennetcook Cemetery. Donations in Darlene's memory can be made to a charity of your choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to J.
