Obituary of Edith Lattie

Lattie, Edith Mae, age 81, of Truro, formerly of Latties Brook, passed peacefully on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Cedarstone Enhanced Care, Truro. Born in Five Mile River on March 27, 1934, she was a daughter of the late William and Lalia (Ettinger) Lattie. Edith was a wonderful cook, who loved animals, gardening, spending time outdoors, and going for drives. She is survived by her brothers, Ross and Adam (Edna); brother-in-law Eddie Tanner; sisters-in-law Betty Lattie and Edie Lattie; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Edith was predeceased by her sister, Ada; brothers Reg, Clarence, Raymond, Alfred, and Keith; and sister-in-law Marjorie. The family wishes to thank the staff at Willow Lodge and at Cedarstone Enhanced Care for their kindness and care during Edith's stay. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19 from 7-8pm, with a funeral service on Sunday, September 20 at 1pm, both at the J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, Kennetcook, Rev. Natalie Buchanan-Rutherford officiating, followed by a committal service in St. John Anglican Cemetery, Latties Brook. Donations in memory of Edith may be made to St. John Anglican Church or to the SPCA. Arrangements have been entrusted to J.
