Obituary of Charlene Thomson

Thomson, Charlene Faith (Hanes), age 57, of Central Onslow, N.S., passed away peacefully on November 8, 2015 at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Upper Kennetcook on February 18, 1958, she was a daughter of the late Lewis and Helen (Hennigar) Hanes. Charlene is survived by her companion, Michael "Mike" Corbett; daughters, Lynn Williams, Halifax, and Serena Missions, Truro; son, Jeffrey (Merri) Hines, Bible Hill; granddaughter, Kelsey; grandson, Lewis; great-granddaughter, Brooklyn; siblings, Vance (Ann) Hanes, Laura (Michael) Densmore, Stephen (Linda) Hanes, and Rose (Edmund) Hanes, all of Upper Kennetcook; many nieces and nephews, as well as many extended family, whom she thought the world of. Besides her parents, Charlene was predeceased by her husband, James "Jim" Thomson. Special thanks to the Palliative Care Team at CEHHC, Dr. Hindler, and Dr. Smith for their care and kindness. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 11 from 7-9pm at the J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, Kennetcook, with a funeral service on Thursday, November 12 at 2pm in St. Peters Anglican Church, Upper Kennetcook, Rev. Lori Ramsey officiating, followed by a private family interment at St. Peters Anglican Cemetery. Following the funeral, there will be a reception at Four Points Recreation Centre, Latties Brook. Donations in memory of Charlene may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or St. Peters Anglican Cemetery fund. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of the J.
