My most sincere sympathies to learn of Mikes' leaving us. We shared many chats before and after he left CFNOS. He always stopped by for a chat when in the area. God bless him and happy to know he is no longer suffering but at home with the angels. He will be missed by many. Sophia

Lots of memories of Mike and family over the years at school and community events but the ones that stand out most are from his seasons hosting and camping at Smiley's Provincial Park. Always a friendly chat at the gatehouse and throughout the park. Mike had a welcoming smile for everyone.

Brenda, Michelle and Kimberley. I worked with Mike both in the Charlottetown and in the school, and the thing I remember most about him was that he was a fighter, and that he was determined to stand up for what he though was right. It may not have won him friends, but it certainly earned him my respect. Please accept my condolences for your loss. Frank

I find it hard to believe that Mike is gone. We were on the same watch on the Okanagan and we used to crack each other up while at sea. We also went to school together in the UK and had some good times there as well. Mike was always challenging those above him and it often grated on people but there were times when he made absolute sense and was right. It's unfortunate that I hadn't seen Mike in ages and I regret I will be unable to attend the open house. Regardless, my deepest sympathies to the Watson family - he will be missed.

Well, my dear friend..don't know what to say.. but I have been thinking so much about you and Mike and remembering so many days and moments..One that stands out in my mind is this; Dwaine was at sea..again..the kids and I were stranded down Gore Subdivision in a blizzard, pitch black outside, no milk or bread and there was a knock on the door...low and behold, there was Mike's smiling face, hood covered in snow carrying a jug of milk and loaf of bread! That was MIke. So many times he brought smiles to Shan and Rich's faces, whether it was Ringo hooked up to a sled pulling them around the yard or one of his many Santa visits..actually, the only real Santa who made regular trips to our house:) You and Mike have steadfastly seen each other through a lot of life and made everyone around you feel inspired. It's such a blessing that he lived life to the fullest right up to his last days. His determination, strong hopeful spirit, and dedication to his family were a joy to see. All our love Brenda to you and the girls. His three girls have made him proud beyond measure and your love and support for him over the years cannot be equaled. xoxo
