Louis was born in Noel Shore on March 7, 1927, the son of the late Ernest and Ellen (Hines) Miller. At age 14, Lou quit school to work on the family farm. He later worked in the woods in the local area and spent a few years in Halifax employed by Hoyt's Moving and Storage. A real country guy, Lou loved to hunt and fish and spent many hours back at the camp in the woods. He enjoyed a moose hunting trip to Newfoundland before he retired. He was a founding member of the Noel Shore Game Protection Association and a supporter of the N.S. Wildlife Association. He travelled extensively enjoying a special trip to Europe where he visited the grave of his late brother Jack in Belgium. One must not forget the fun he had playing all kinds of cards. He loved cardparties and also playing cards with family and friends. Lou is survived by his wife of 58 years, Elizabeth ( Betty Greene), daughter Judith (Bernard) White, sons Earle (Anna) and Jeffrey, grandchildren Jacqueline (Norman) Fahey, and Ronald Crowe.
