BROWN - Wilson Merlton, age 81, of Haliburton Place, Windsor, formerly of Bramber, passed away on February 9, 2016 at the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Bramber on October 8, 1934, he was a son of the late Ezariah and Etta Mayora (Crossley) Brown. Wilson loved to hunt and fish, and worked at a steel plant for many years. He lived in Cambridge, Ontario for many years before moving home in 1990 to Bramber, where he had fish ponds for his own enjoyment. Wilson is survived by brothers Avon Brown, Cheverie, and Ezra Brown, Bramber; and sister, Philena Gallie, Cheverie, and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Bernice (Stevens) Brown; brothers, Angus Brown and Isaac (Bub) Brown; his sister, Carolyn Weatherbee; and sister-in-law, Jennie Brown. Cremation has taken place with no visitation by request. A graveside committal service will be held in Bramber Cemetery on Sunday, July 24 at 2pm, Rev. Alex Mosher officiating. Donations in memory of Wilson may be made to the Bramber Cemetery or a charity of one's choice. Special thanks to the nurses and staff of the Haliburton Place for providing a happy and loving home for Wilson for the past 10 years.
