Clara "Margie" Galley Obituary

GALLEY - Clara Marguerite "Margie", age 79, of Bramber, passed away on April 3, 2016 in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Bramber on August 30, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Donald and Elizabeth (Macumber) Mills. Margie held numerous jobs along the Shore in her working years, and was well-known for her excellent baking. An avid Bingo player, she was a member of the New Horizons Centre in Bramber. Her children will remember her as "the greatest mother on Earth". Margie is survived by her daughters, Doris (Eric) Taylor and Barb (Donald) Wile; sons, Mike (Shirley) McLellan, Ronnie (Millie) McLellan, Larry (Susan) McLellan, and Wayne (Lynda) Galley; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren (with 3 on the way); and brother, Ed Comeau. Besides her parents, Margie was predeceased by her husband of 37 years, Marven; sisters, Florence and Doris; brothers, Laurie, Burton, and Ezra; and her first husband, Frederick McLellan. Cremation has taken place with no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 9 at 2pm in the Kempt United Baptist Church, Summerville, Rev. Garnet Parker officiating, with a private family committal at the Bramber Cemetery, Bramber. Following the service there will be a reception at the New Horizons Centre, Bramber. Family flowers only; donations in memory of Margie may be made to the Summerville Fire Department or the Bramber Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of J.
