Florence "Minerva" (Lingard) Faulkner, age 87, of Truro, formerly of Burncoat, NS, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2016 at Cedarstone Enhanced Care, Truro, with her family by her side. Born in Moose Brook on August 10, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Ray and Myrtle (McCulloch) Lingard. Minerva loved the farm where she grew up, loved animals, and had a sense of humour until she passed away. She is survived by her son, Andy (Helen); two grandchildren, Jason Faulkner and Stephanie Harder; sisters, Maggie, Nora, Alice, Annie, and Louise; brother, George; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Minerva was predeceased by her husband, Ervin; and brothers, Anderson, Norman, Ralph, and Don. Cremation has taken place with no visitation by request. A private family committal service will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 2pm in Moose Brook Cemetery, Moose Brook, Rev. Natalie Buchanan-Rutherford officiating.
