CAMPBELL, Jean Wallace, age 86, of Greenfield, Hants Co., passed away on May 8, 2016 in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Scotch Village on June 19, 1929, she was the youngest daughter of the late Edward and Bertha (MacHarrie) Frail. Jean was well-known from her many years working at the family business, Campbell's General Store in Clarksville. In her younger days, Jean enjoyed Old Time dances with Willard every Saturday night, and card parties in later years where wonderful friendships were made. She was a 50-year member of the UCW and very proud of the pin she received. Jean adored her husband and family, who always came first in her life. Jean is survived by her husband of 68 years, Willard; her children, Debbie (Jim) Ettinger, Russ (Joselyn) Campbell, and Krystal (Bob) Bond; grandchildren, Stephanie (Darrell), Mitchell (Clare), Adam (Kyleigh), Aaron (Lindsay), Brandon (Anna) and McKendra; great-grandchildren, Ben, Evlyn Jean, Bronwyn, Lorelei, Greyden, Piper and Landen; foster sister, Joan Frail; and special nephew, Keith (Marlene) Wilson and family. Besides her parents, Jean was predeceased by an infant daughter, Donna Darlene; and sisters Marjorie Ettinger, Una Berggren and Erna Weatherhead. Cremation has taken place; visitation will be held on Friday, May 13, 2016 from 6-8pm at J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, Kennetcook, with a memorial service on Saturday, May 14 at 2pm at West Gore Disciple Church, Rev. Angus R. MacDonald officiating. Private family interment in West Gore Cemetery following the service.
