Obituary of Keith Sanford

SANFORD - Keith Duncan, age 60, of Summerville, passed away suddenly on June 9, 2016 in Bedford, NS. Born in Windsor, NS on March 9, 1956, he was the loving and devoted son of the late Terence "Ted" and Florence (Cox) Sanford. An Acadia University graduate in Business Administration, Keith held a wide variety of jobs, including owning and operating a siding business, and working in the Alberta oil patch in recent years. He was an avid motorcyclist and snowmobiler, and despite being a private person, loved to strike up a conversation with friends and neighbours. Keith was well-known as a hard-worker who would never hesitate to lend a hand wherever and whenever it was needed. Keith is survived by his brother, Phillip (Laurie), Toronto, Ont.; his sister, Lorna (Lee) Yorke, Truro and children, Stephanie and Melissa Yorke; his stepmother, Hildred (Hawkesworth) Sanford; his stepsisters, Janet Cornelius, Dianne Dauphinee and Esther Henshaw; his parents-in-law, Dr. Gilles and Suzanne Brissette and his brother-in-law, Michel "Mike" (Tammy) Brissette and children, Sophie and Gabrielle Brissette, all of Victoria, B.C.. Besides his parents, Keith was predeceased in 2003 by the love of his life, Sylvie Brissette. Cremation has taken place with no visitation or service by request. A reception in celebration of Keith's life will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2016 from 2-4pm at the Summerville Fire Hall, Summerville. Private family interment at a later date.
