Minnie Stern Obituary

STERN - Minnie Olive, age 87, of Windsor, formerly of Summerville, Hants County and Port Richey, Florida, passed away on June 13, 2016 at Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Walton, NS on January 13, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Carrie (Munro) Parsons. Minnie was a long-time member of the Eleanor Rebekah Lodge, and loved music, dancing, and traveling. Minnie is survived by her husband, Robert "Bob" Stern, Port Richey, Florida; son, Jerry (Wendy) Henderson, Trenton, Ont.; 2 grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Minnie was predeceased by her brother, Mortimer "Mort", and sister, Ena Smith. Cremation has taken place with no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 18 at 11am at the Grace United Church, Walton, Ray Fisher officiating, with interment in the Grace United Church Cemetery. Following the service, a reception will be held in the Church Hall.
