MACDONNELL - Lorne Thomas, age 70, of Noel, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 3, 2016 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Enfield on September 19, 1946, he was the son of the late Hartford and Mary (MacDonnell) MacDonnell. One of fourteen children, Lorne worked for years at the Ashburn Golf Course. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and dart player, who loved his dogs, Bear and Wally. He was much loved by family and friends. Lorne is survived by his loving partner, Irene. Special thanks to the Palliative Care Team at Colchester East Hants Health Centre. Cremation has taken place with no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held at St. Bernard's Church, Enfield on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 11am, Father Michael Walsh officiating.
