Obituary of Dorothy Jean McLellan
MCLELLAN – Dorothy Jean, age 83, of Falmouth, formerly of East Walton, passed away on October 8, 2016 at Windsor Elms Village, Falmouth. Born in Cambridge, Hants Co. on January 27, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Allen and Mildred (Conley) Starratt. She has been a resident of the Windsor Elms for the past seven years, and her sense of humour and her crossword and lexicon skills will be missed by the staff and residents. Dorothy is survived by her sons, Danny (Heather), Truro/Grand Prairie, Alta.; Bruce (Kerry), Dawson Creek, Alta.; and Paul (Marnie), Tennecape; daughters Gloria Burrell, Windsor; and Linda (Fred) Bond, Stanley; sisters, Eileen Millet, Dartmouth; Eleanor Brown, Windsor; and Shirley (Aubrey) Wilcox, Cambridge; 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Clyde, in 1987; brothers, Leroy Conley, Thaddy, Avard, Frankie, Hector, Arthur, Freddie, Harold, and Herbie; and great-granddaughter Hailey Burrell. Special thanks to Dr. James Leahy and all the nurses and staff and the Windsor Elms. Cremation has taken place with no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 22 at 11am at J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, Summerville, Rev. Garnet Parker officiating, with interment at Tennecape Cemetery.
