LAFFIN - Hilda "Maude", age 95, of Tennecape, passed away on December 24, 2016 at Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Bramber on May 26, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Laura (Mills) Macumber. Maude loved playing Bingo, nickel auctions, and being with her family. Maude is survived by her sons, Kenneth "Duke" (Barb) Laffin and William "Billy" (Joyce) Laffin; daughters, Shirley (Mike) and Marie (Laurie); 8 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Maude was predeceased by her husband, Medford Laffin; two sons in infancy, Arthur and Thomas; son, Ervin "Bus" Laffin; a grandson, Troy Patterson; two granddaughters, Anette Laffin and Tammy Laffin; brother, Fred Macumber; and sisters, May Parker and Cola Macumber. Visitation will be held from 7-9pm on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home in Summerville, and again on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home in Kennetcook from 1-2pm with a funeral service at 2pm, Rev. Natalie Buchanan-Rutherford officiating. Private interment at Tennecape Cemetery following the service.
