SINGER, Raymond Lawrence - 75, Kennetcook. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a wonderful husband, father and papa on January 27, 2013 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Raymond was born September 29, 1937 in Georgefield, as a young boy he went to live in Rawdon with foster family Everette and Verna Weatherhead. Raymond worked most of his life in the woods, and upon retiring spent the rest of his life spending time with his family and grandchildren. Raymond is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mabel (Beach); daughter, Lisa (Joe); son, Rick (Kim); grandchildren, Kelly, Ronnie, Nathan and Lucas; foster mother, Verna Weatherhead; sisters, Barb (Emerson), Mary Billard, Lottie O'Leary; brothers, Harold and Gordon; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by parents, Albert and Nora (Singer) Singer; brothers, Albert, Rexford, Wade and foster father, Everette Weatherhead. Cremation has taken place with no visitation by request. A graveside service, open to everyone, will be held 11 am Friday, February 1 in North Noel Road Cemetery, Rev. Natalie Buchanan-Rutherford officiating. Family flowers only.
