GREEN - Frank, age 92, of Bible Hill, formerly of North Noel Road, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2017 at Vimy Court, Bible Hill. Born in North Noel Road on July 29, 1924 to the late Thomas and Mahayla Green, he was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Frank worked as a labourer all his life, holding down numerous jobs until his retirement. He loved his Blue Jays and his cribbage. Frank is survived by his daughter, Louise (Jim) Crossman, Lower Selma; sons, Larry (Beverley) Green, Lower Selma; and Joe Green (Cindy Christie), Bible Hill; son-in-law Albert Paige, North Noel Road; 8 grandchildren and 15 grandchildren. Besides his parents, Frank was predeceased by his wife, Janie (Anthony); daughters, Emma Brewer and Margaret Paige; grandson Kevin Crossman; 9 brothers and 3 sisters. The family would like to thank the staff of Vimy Court for everything over the past few years, and special thanks to his granddaughter Sarah Paige for caring for Frank in the last years of his life. Cremation has taken place with no visitation by request. A graveside committal service will be held at North Noel Road Cemetery on Thursday, January 26 at 2pm, Rev. Natalie Buchanan-Rutherford officiating, with a reception to follow at the Green Hall.
