Burgess, Frederick William "Ted" -88, Walton, passed away on Thursday February 7, 2013 in the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Walton, he was a son of the late Henry and Gertrude (Crossley) Burgess. Ted served overseas during the Second World War. He was a loving and caring husband, dad and grandparent. He enjoyed doing volunteer work in his community and his trip to the bowling alley once a week. He loved watching his grandchildren play hockey and going on road hockey trips with them. Ted has touched the heart of many people in his 88 years and lived life to the fullest and will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Ted is survived by his wife Norma of 67 years, Sons Peter, Steven (Gloria) and daughter Lorna (Ron), grandchildren Jeff (Alana), Jennifer (Marty), Adam (Amanda) Amy (Alex), 5 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren, sister Rita Smith, Dykeland Lodge and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brother Addison, sisters Nora, Della and Florence. Visitation will be held Sunday February 10, from 3-5 p.m. in the J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, Hwy 215, Summerville. Funeral Monday February 11 at 2 p.m. in the Grace United Church, Walton with a private family burial in Grace United Church Cemetery.
