McLELLAN - Emery Ivan, age 87, of Scotch Village, passed away suddenly at home on March 20, 2017, joining his wife, Margaret Joan (Macumber), in eternity. Born in Bramber on July 14, 1929, he was a son of the late Henry and Albertha "Bertie" (Brown) McLellan. Emery was a soft-spoken, hard-working man, who was always there to lend a hand to his neighbors and friends. He loved spending time at the beach and in the woods. A much-loved father and grandfather, Emery was very well-regarded in the community and will be dearly missed. Emery is survived by his children, Joan (Frank) Anthony, Windsor; Neil (Donna), Windsor; and James (Donna), Alberta; grandchildren, Mitchell McLellan, Sarah Allen, Ryan Anthony, Jesse Giles, and James Giles; great-grandchildren, Jaelyn and Jayce Allen; sister, Eva Chambers, Brooklyn; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and his wife, Margaret, Emery was predeceased by his sister, Ellen Chambers; and brother, Lewis. Cremation has taken place with no visitation by request; a private interment at Avonview Cemetery will be held at a later date.
