Obituary of Willis Royce White
WHITE – Willis Royce, age 70, of East Noel, passed away on December 17, 2017 at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in North Noel Road on March 29, 1947, he was the son of the late Chester and Letitia White. Willis spent most of his life as a driller, a job he loved. He spent his spare time playing darts and horseshoes, fishing, and playing queens. Willis is survived by his loving wife, Erma (McLellan); daughter, Amanda (Robert Chiasson); son, Darcy (SueAnn); grandchildren he adored, Ethan, Thomas, and Brendon and step-grandson Stephen (Brittany); step great-grandsons Tyler, Gabe, and Jameson; twin sister Phyllis and sisters Isabel and Donna (Jerry MacPhee); brothers Wilmot “Whiz”, Joe (Cathy), Gerald “Jake”, and Allister (Winnie). He was a favorite uncle to many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Willis was predeceased by a son, Brandon; sisters Wanetta, Lucy, Ethel, Bertha, and Laura in infancy; brothers Keith, Elmer, Howard, Andy, and Laurie in infancy. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 20 from 7-9pm with a funeral service on Thursday, December 21 at 2pm, both at J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, Kennetcook, Rev. Natalie Buchanan-Rutherford officiating. Private burial at Noel Cemetery. Donations in memory of Willis may be made to the Colchester East-Hants Hospice Society, 89 Queen St, Truro, NS B2N 2B2.
