Obituary of Ferris Diamond Weatherbee
WEATHERBEE – Ferris Diamond, of Windsor, formerly of Walton. Our mother passed away at the age of 90 on January 1, 2018 in Haliburton Place, Hants Community Hospital, Windsor, with family by her side. Born on July 1, 1927 in Walton, she was the daughter of the late James and Beatrice (Fowler) Conlon. Ferris volunteered for many organizations during her lifetime. She was a member of the Walton Shore Fire Department Ladies’ Auxiliary, Explorers, Women’s Institute (Handy Helpers), and was a Girl Guide leader. She enjoyed camping, crafts, going out on her son’s boat, and spending time with family. Ferris is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Parr, Walton; and Lisa (Kim) Brown, Bramber; son Brian (Belinda), Dartmouth; son-in-law Mike Starratt; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, Ferris was predeceased by her husband, Charles “Buzz”; daughter Gloria Starratt; and son-in-law Donald “Don” Parr. Cremation has taken place; visitation will be held on Sunday, January 7 from 2-4pm at J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, Summerville. Private family committal at a later date.
