Obituary of Florence Marie Crowell

CROWELL – Florence “Marie”, age 76, Cheverie, passed away on January 4, 2018 at Dykeland Lodge, Windsor. Born in Bramber on November 10, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Sherman and Agnes (Rolfe) Brown.   Marie was a home maker, but also worked at the Avonview Nursing Home in Summerville in her earlier years. She was a member of the Bramber New Horizons Centre for many years.  Marie loved Bingo, and enjoyed music at the local jams.  Her greatest joy was having her family together, with all the grandchildren she adored, and sharing laughter and lots of good food. Marie is survived by her husband of 57 years, Eric; daughters, Shirley (Wade) Weatherbee and Sue (Terry) Salsman; son, John (Sackville); grandchildren, Matthew, Josh, Jess, Kate, Nick, Sarah, Becky, and Jonathan; great-grandchildren, Zoey, Brooklyn, Wyatt, Gavin, and Cooper; sister Ruth; brother Merton (Mary); and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Marie was predeceased by her sister, Reta; and daughter-in-law, Chrissy Crowell. Cremation has taken place; visitation will be held on Monday, January 8 from 6-8pm, with a memorial service on Tuesday, January 9 at 2pm, both at J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, Summerville, Pastor Burt Walsh officiating. Private interment in Bramber Cemetery. Donations in memory of Marie may be made to the Bramber New Horizons Centre.
