Gladys Curry Obituary
Curry, Gladys Mae-89, Cedarstone Nursing Home, formerly of Upper Kennetcook, passed away on March 30, 2013 in the home. Born in Gore, Hants Co., she was a daughter of the late William and Maude (Davis) Gill. Gladys loved cooking in her kitchen, playing bingo and playing cards. She worked as a seamstress at sears and then worked as a cook at Barrett Lumber Co., for many years from where she retired. She is survived by her children Hughie (Maxine), Sharon (Murray), Bonnie (Lewis) and Debbie (Austin), 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, sister Irene (Kirby) brother Ronnie and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter Wendy, grandson Shane, sisters Thelma, Ruthie and brother Harold "Huddie". Cremation has taken place with no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. April 2, 2013 in the J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, hwy 354, Kennetcook Rev. Natalie Buchanan-Rutherford officating with a private family burial in St. Peter's Anglican Cemetery. Family flowers only donations can be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Canada or St. Peter's Anglican Church Cemetery or charity of choice.
