LAKE, Delta Marguerite, Summerville, passed away April 14th, 2013 in the QEII Health Sciences Center. Born April 10, 1938 in Center Burlington, she was the daughter of the late Sydney and Freda (Mann) Walker. She was a wonderful mother and she dedicated over 40 years caring for her disabled son Michael, until she was no longer able. She is survived by daughters Carolyn (Phillip) Smith, Summerville, Cindy (Leonard) Spencer, Lower Burlington, sons Stephen (Mona), Brooklyn and Michael, Waterville, sister Hazel Archibald, Halifax, granddaughters Michelle (James) Lyon, Summerville, Melissa (Jeremy) Croft, Ardoise, Christine Smith (Tommy Anthony) Windsor, Jennifer (Terry Harvey), Cheverie, Stacey (Terry Murphy), Ellershouse; great-grandsons William, Seth, Ronan, Jude and Brody, and great-granddaughter Maria. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by husband Stanley, brothers Sydney Jr., Douglas and Walter, sisters Phyllis Sanford and Wendy (in infancy). Cremation has taken place with no visitation by request. Private graveside service to be held on Sunday, April 21st at 2 pm, Loyal Hill Cemetery, Summerville with Pastor Betty Parker officating. A reception (open to all) to follow at 2:30 pm at the Summerville Fire Hall. Family flowers only. Donations in memory can be made to Dr. Arthur Hines School Playground Fund or Summerville Fire Dept.
