Marsters, Cyril Richard, Age 77, Summerville Hants Co. N.S. The peaceful passing of Cyril Richard Marsters occurred on Feb 28/19 in the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor NS, surrounded by music and love. Born in Summerville Hants Co. May 11/ 1941, he was the son of the late Ralph Roland Marsters and Madge Thelma Harvey.

Cyril began working in HMC Dockyard as a shipwright in 1960. After 35 years of service he retired to Summerville where he enjoyed doing small jobs in the community and time with family. He was an organist at the Kempt United Baptist Church for many years, as were his Stepmother, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother before him. He was a member of the local Credit Union and served as President for 20 years. He was a member of The Shore Masonic Lodge #134 and an active participant in many other Masonic Lodges around Nova Scotia. He and his wife Rowena were also members of the Fairfield Chapter #22, and later, Laurel Chapter #67, in Berwick NS.

Cyril is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Rowena Louise (Ogilvie) Marsters, his daughters Angela Fae (Peter) Sawler, Berwick, Wendy Yvonne (Corey Smicer) Slauenwhite, Falmouth. Five grandchildren , Katie (Cody) Slauenwhite, Sackville, Jessica (Matt) Slauenwhite, Halifax, Ricky (Allyson) Sawler, Sackville, Michelle (Nathan) Hildebrand, Enfield, Brian Sawler, Halifax. A niece, Judy (David) Ettinger and brother Gerald Marsters both of Ottawa. Step-sister Eleanor Ignatowicz, California Besides his parents he was predeceased by siblings, Florence MacCallum, Gilbert and Ralph (in Infancy), step-mother Nina Gertrude Marsters.

Thank you to many family and friends, with special thanks to niece Juliette and husband Royce Spencer and the Windsor Hospital Palliative Care staff.

Family flowers only, private family internment following service. Donations can be made to Kempt United Baptist Church, or the charity of your choice.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 2nd, 2019 from 2-5pm at the J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home Summerville and a Masonic Lodge service followed by a memorial service will be held Sunday, March 3rd 2019 at 2pm in the Kempt United Baptist Church, Summerville, Pastor Charlene Arseneau Reid officiating. Following the service a reception will be held in the Summerville Fire Hall. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of the J.
