Obituary of Fred Custance

Custance- Frederick Atherton- 86 of Upper Rawdon passed away peacefully on June 23rd, 2019 at the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born January 25, 1933 in Rawdon Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late William James and Margaret (Anthony) Custance.

Fred worked as a truck driver most of his life, had a passion for horses and was a lifetime member of the Rawdon District Fire Dept.

Fred is survived by Sons; Randy (Marlene), Danny and William (Felicia), Daughters; Sonja (Rodney) Hart and Kelly Custance, Grandchildren; Chrissy, Keith, Matthew, Jaime, Mikey, Savannah, Abigail and Emmersyn, three Great-grandchildren and several Nieces and Nephews.

He is predeceased by Sister; Betty and 2 Sisters in infancy.

A visitation will take place from 7to 9pm Thursday, June 27th, at the J Wilson Allen Funeral Home in Kennetcook, and a public graveside committal service will be held Saturday June 29th at 2pm at the Upper Rawdon Cemetery Chaplain. Linton Worrell officiating and a reception following the service at the Rawdon Fire Hall. Donations in memory of Fred can be made to the Rawdon District Fire Dept. Special thanks to the staff at Magnolia Continuing Care and especially to niece Rhonda Maguire.
