Obituary of Lewis Crossley

Crossley, Lewis Oscar – 89 of Summerville, Hants County passed away Wednesday February 12th, 2020 in Dykeland Lodge, Windsor, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Walton on June 24th, 1930 he was the son of the late Wilbert and Viola (Lake) Crossley. Lewis worked as a shoemaker, drove a mail route for Canada Post and was a postmaster at the Summerville post office for 42 years. He was a member of the Glad Tidings Pentecostal Church, Windsor where he loved serving in the church and telling others about the Lord he loved. Special thanks to the staff of Dykeland Lodge for their loving care and compassion. He is survived by his wife Winnifred (Underwood) Crossley, daughters Linda (Gordon) Brown of Ontario, Beverley (Gil) White of Summerville, son Danny (Debbie) Crossley of Summerville, sister Florence Harvey, 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. Lewis is predeceased by sisters Mary, Hilda, Gladys, brothers Luke, Bob and Charles. A visitation will be held Saturday, February 15th at 12:30pm followed by a service at 2pm both in the Glad Tidings Worship Centre, Windsor Rev. Kevin Walsh officiating. Reception to follow service in the church Hall. A private family burial will be held in the Loyal Hill Cemetery following the reception.
