Clark, Kingsley William – 85, passed away peacefully at his home in Centre Burlington on April 16th, 2020. Born in Gaspe’ Quebec on February 11th, 1935, he was the son of the late Ralph and Jessie (Mullen) Clark.
King spent 23 years in the Canadian Navy, and on leaving the Armed Forces he worked for several companies, before settling in at the heating plant at Acadia University.
He was a very quiet and well-read man, with many interests and gifts, not the least of which was his dry sense of humour. He spent many years as a Boy Scout leader, had an abiding interest in photography and was a very skilled woodworker.
King is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years who will miss him dearly, Julia “Julie” (Emberly), daughter Debbie (Richard), daughter in law Cindy Clark, grandchildren Candice (Rob) Bentley, Mike (Carey) Oliver and Aric Fice, great-grandchildren Charly Mae, Olivia and Everett and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his son Ralph, sisters Reta, Gail and Della, brother Morris, in-laws Jack and Anna Emberly.
King will be sorely missed by us all!
Cremation has taken place. Due to the current Nova Scotia Health regulations concerning the Covid-19 Virus, there will be a graveside committal service held at a later date. Donations in memory of King may be made to Scouts Canada - giving@scouts.ca, Tel: 1-613-224-5134 x. 284
