Dalrymple, James Burton "Bert" 83, East Gore, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2013 in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor with loving family by his side.Born on June 9, 1929 in East Gore he was the son of the late Aubrey and Olla (MacAskill) Dalrymple. He is survived by sisters Ruth (Jack) Laycock, Reta Misener, Inez Bateyko, Blanche Grant, Penny White and brother Ross. He was predeased by sisters Evelyn MacPhee, Pauline Fraser, Audrey Davis, Ethel Dalrymple and brother Blair. Bert lived a long and hard life beginning farming at home, logging for various companies and finishing his career as a carpenter with companies MacDougalls and J. W. Lindsay. Berts pastimes included hunting, playing cards and lotto tickets, he enjoyed driving and short visits with friends and family , and lastly his nightly phone calls.Visitation will be held Monday, May 20, 2013 from 7-9 p.m. in the J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, Hwy 354, Kennetcook. A graveside committal service (open to all) will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the East Gore Cemetery, East Gore. Rev. Angus R. MacDonald officating. Donations may be made to the East Gore Cemetery or charity of choice .Thank you to all Von staff , Dr. Sheehy and Drs and staff at Hants Community Hospital.
