Karen and family: the awesome memories of growing up in a small village where everyone cared for one another. Leland was one that always cared throughout the years. So many memories from Frances ‘s bean soup to spending time at the camp. “Carry On” Leland, my good friend!

Karen, Stephen and family, also to Marion Drysdale and family. We are very sorry for your loss. Leland was so loved by all. He will always be part of our childhood memories growing up in Summerville. Whether us kids were buying pop at his garage or having a turn on the back of his motorcycle, he was always teasing, but kind and caring to us all. He was so proud Karen, of you and your beautiful family. Your dad's hugs and laughter, will be dearly missed. Buddy and I send our thoughts and condolences to you all. Love , Connie

We are all so sad to hear about Leland . He wss a big part of our lives at Whale Creek andwe have many fond memories of his fishing trips with Warren ...feeding peanut butter to his squirrels and teasing anyone within ear shot.
We love having him and Francis as part of our camping family.
I have a vivid memory of the first day I put Allison on the bus and the relief I felt when I saw his smiling face at the open bus door .
I knew she was in good hands.
May your many happy memories of such a wonderful man help to easy your sadness.
Thinking of you all.
Hazel and Warren

To all Leland's Family,
I met Leland at Whale Creek Campground many years ago & I've always had a special place in my heart for him ever since. I always knew when visiting my parents (Royce & Gwen Wood) at their campsite .. that he would be over for a hug,a joke or just to tease a bit.
Our hearts go out to all. He will be missed by many.
Sharing in your sorrow,
Wendy & Eldon Hebb

Rest in peace "cuz" - my favourite kissin' cousin. Mum used to tell me a story about Leland as a teenager/young man shinnying up the utility pole at the end of our driveway. My "Uncle", his father, would have a few words to say & Leland would shinny faster & higher. I didn't see it happen; but, I could picture it so vividly that it feels like a memory.
