Barkhouse, Eric, 65 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Eric Bruce Barkhouse.on June 3, 2013 at his home in Lakelands, Hants Co. Born on Feb 28, 1948 in Windsor, N.S. he was a son of the late Bruce and Thelma (Sanford) Barkhouse of Upper Rawdon, N.S. He is survived by his daughter Angela (Trent) Clow and a proud Grampy Bark to his grandchildren Alicia Angeline and Nathan Eric Clow, all of Grand Lake, sisters Carole (Wendell) Simm, West Gore, Hants Co., Donna (Gordon) MacDougall, of Stanley Bridge, PEI, brother Averill, Upper Rawdon and former wife Brenda (Gorman) Barkhouse, Elmsdale, N.S., Eric had many friends and loved telling stories about the good old days. He loved cars and had quite a collection over his lifetime. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and his favorite driver was #3 Dale Earnhardt. He loved his family and many friends and will be missed very much by everyone who knew and loved him. Cremation has taken place with no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held in the J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, Hwy 354. Kennetcook, N.S. at 2:00 pm on Monday, June 10, 2013. Private family burial at a later date in North Noel Road Cemetery.
