Corbett – Marlene Doris, age 74 of Riverside Corner. It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our Mother Marlene Corbett on November 5, 2020 surrounded by her family.
Survived by Sandra Chow (Walter), Brenda Boutilier (Brett), Michael Corbett (Shelby) and April Corbett, grandchildren Gary, Justin, Jaime, Jerry, Lillian, Ivy, and great grandchildren Paris, Ryder and Layton. Marlene was predeceased by her husband Ken, parents John and Elizabeth (MacDonald) Bartlett, her brother John Junior, two sisters, Margaret Elaine, and Shirley Louise. Survived by brothers Angus (Wendy), David (Esther), Laurie (Linda), and Clyde (Kathy) and Juniors wife Betty. Mom enjoyed many trips to Ontario to her in-laws Bill Corbett (Linda), Colin, Ross (predeceased by wife Elaine), and Jim (Brenda); and sister, Bonnie Dingman (predeceased by husband Bill).
Marlene was a stay at home mom. She enjoyed raising her children and all the stray animals Ken brought home as pets. Another big part of her life was Avon, you rang she delivered. More recently she enjoyed a trip to BC to visit a long-time friend Donna, a vacation to Florida and a Ross-adventure to Memphis.
She loved to play cards with friends. Her grandchildren were near and dear to her heart. Her “Little Man” Layton was her pride and joy and entertained her to the end.
Cremation has taken place. The memorial for Marlene will take place at a later date.
