Please share a memory of John to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
McCulloch, John Alvis “Jock”- 61 of Kennetcook passed away suddenly at his home on November 21st, 2020. Born in Kennetcook on April 3rd, 1959, he is the son of the late Orin and Nettie (White) McCulloch.
He is survived by brothers Perry (Theresa), Angus (Deb Lutz), Floyd (Jocelyn), Glendon (Yvonne Dickson), sisters Janice (Garth) Harvie, Treva (Donnie) Huntley, Leila Beckman and sister-in-law Donna McCulloch.
Jock is predeceased by brothers Gil and Wendell, two brothers in infancy and brother-in-law Garnet Beckman.
Jock was a proud member of the Ironworkers Union, and tied steel for many years. Even in retirement, Jock was not one to stay still long. He was up early and on the road for a drive, probably with no particular destination in mind, but he needed to be moving. He loved the outdoors, working, playing and had a passion for stock car racing. In his youth he enjoyed anything he could race, especially cars and snowmobiles. He enjoyed time spent with his friends and family, and was known for his kind heart and generous spirit.
Jock was the beloved favourite uncle and great-uncle to numerous nieces and nephews, sharing an especially close bond with the youngest generation who held a special place in his heart. Always with a story or joke to share, he got great satisfaction from gently teasing the kids, all of whom have fond memories of good times spent with their uncle Jock.
To our extended family and friends; your thoughtfulness and acts of kindness during this difficult time are appreciated more then you can know.
