Davis, Matthew Christopher – 39 of Halifax, formally of Gormanville. It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our precious son Matthew on November 25th, 2020. Born October 17th, 1981 in Halifax, he is the son of Ken and Lilla (Beach) Davis. Besides his parents he is survived by sister Jodi (Neale) of Beaverbank, several aunts, uncles and cousins whose hearts are also broken. He is predeceased by maternal grandparents Harry & Leona Beach, paternal grandparents Martell & Maxine Davis, aunt Beatrice Beach, uncle Kirby White and cousin Brandon White. Matthew always had a smile for everyone and enjoyed spending time with family & friends. He was a big fan of the Montreal Canadians, wrestling, and loved video gaming. Matthew was the #1 fan of the Tragically Hip. Matthew attended Hants North Rural High and studied at Acadia University, graduating in 2005. Matthew worked at Paladin Security in Halifax as Branch Manager for NS & PEI and enjoyed his job very much - developing positive relationships with all co-workers and employees. “Our world has been shattered and there’s a hole in our hearts that can never be filled. You will always be our baby boy.” A graveside service for family and friends will be held November 30th, 2020 at 2pm in the North Noel Rd Cemetery, beside St. Paul’s United Church, Rev.
