Obituary of Dianne Frail
Please share a memory of Dianne to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Frail, Dianne (Holdright) – Of Upper Rawdon, it is with sadness the family announces the passing of Dianne on December 16th, 2020.
Dianne was a true athlete in her younger years and a big sports fan. She continued enjoying sports and watching her children and others play.
She loved teaching. She started out as a Phys-ed teacher, taught high school and elementary until finding her true calling teaching Primary students.
Dianne loved her children (Janelle and Nic), husband (Mitch), grandson (Aiden), family, and friends deeply. She also cared for the many students she taught throughout her teaching career.
Dianne enjoyed camping, traveling, gardening, knitting, music and dancing. She was quick with a laugh and a hug and loved spending time with her grandson, Aiden. He once told her “You sure have the dance moves, Nannie.”
Even as she faced Alzheimer’s, Dianne continued to teach her family one of life’s most important lessons; how to face challenges with grace and dignity. She accepted her illness with a strength that amazed her family. Throughout her illness she never stopped enjoying life and even led the family in making new memories.
The family wishes to thank VON for their support and a special thank you to Magnolia Continuing Care for providing a home for Dianne.
Dianne will be greatly missed and never forgotten by her family.
A private memorial will take place at a later date. Donations in memory of Dianne can be made to the NS Alzheimer’s Society.
