White, Iona Blanche – 84 of Debert Court, Debert NS, passed away January 7th, 2021 in Debert Court. Born in Noel on June 22nd, 1936 she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Leola May (McCulloch) Scott. Iona is survived by children Charlotte (Doug), Harley (Brenda), Muriel, George (Sherry), Robert (Teresa), Addison (Frank), Curtis (Sharon), brother Murray Relman (Nettie), sisters Mae (Vernon) Hill, Dora (John) Hobin, Darlene (Orlee) White, Donna White, Deborah Scott, 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, Iona is predeceased by husband Wallace, brothers Curtis, Vernon, Blair, Delbert, Ronald, Roger, Rayburn. Iona was a member of the Noel United Church and Women’s Institute. She had also been an avid horse racing fan, and small dogs were always friends of choice. In her later years she often talked of her time spent as a playground monitor at the school in Noel. She was a well-known resident of Debert Court and the family would like to thank the staff there for the kindness, care and attention she received from them. A private family service will be held in the J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, Kennetcook, Rev. Natalie Buchannan-Rutherford officiating. Interment will take place at a later date. Due to Covid-19 social distancing will apply outside of your bubble, masks will be mandatory to be worn inside the premises.
