Campbell, Willard Russell – 93 of Greenfield, Hants Co. We are saddened to announce the passing of Willard on April 12, 2021 in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Greenfield on Sept. 28, 1927, he was a son of the late Alvah and Vera (Fenton) Campbell. For many years, along with his wife Jean, he was the owner/operator of W.R. Campbell’s Esso Station and Campbell’s General Store in Clarksville. He was a 56-year member of the Welsford Masonic Lodge and a long-time member of Gore District Fire Department. Willard was an avid hunter/fisherman, and it was a must, on most Saturday nights, to go dancing with mum. In later years, he enjoyed nothing more than to get on the tractor and go cut wood, tend to his vegetable garden or work around in his garage. He also made sure he never missed his weekly card parties. This past year it has been puzzles that kept him busy. Dad endured many health issues over the years with a determination to never give in and his family meant everything to him. He is survived by his children Debbie Ettinger (Jim), Russ Campbell (Joselyn) and Krystal Bond (Bob); grandchildren, Stephanie (Darrell), Mitchell (Clare), Adam (Kyleigh), Aaron (Lindsay), Brandon (Dawson) and McKendra (Joe); great grandchildren, Ben, Evlyn Jean, Bronwyn, Lorelei, Greyden, Piper, Landen, Wyatt and Gavin. He is also survived by Sister-in-Law Mary Campbell, close cousin Gordon (Liz) Fenton & family, special nephew Keith (Marlene) Wilson and family. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Jean in 2016, infant daughter Donna Darlene, siblings Carl, Earle, Ethel, Perry and Claude. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation by request. A private family committal service will take place at West Gore Disciple Church cemetery in West Gore at a later date. Rev. Angus R. MacDonald officiating.
