Obituary of Steven Anthony
Please share a memory of Steven to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Anthony, Steven James - 48 of Kennetcook passed away May 12th, 2021 in Kennetcook. Born in Truro on July 10th, 1972 he was the beloved son of Marsden J. Anthony and Nancy (Lawrence) MacKay.
Steve’s early years were mostly spent in Lower Sackville where he made some long-lasting friendships that he treasured. When he wasn’t in Sackville, he was in Kennetcook where he spent his time snowmobiling, dirt biking, driving just anything that would go fast. When necessary he drove a lawn mower or John Deere. As he got a little older, he discovered music - guitars and singing! He loved an audience and he loved to entertain. Teaching was something that came naturally to him as well. He truly enjoyed the time he spent coaching youth soccer. In between all this, he found time to get a Bachelor of Commerce from St. Mary’s University and earn his CA designation. He worked briefly for Ernst & Young before moving to the private sector. But the best thing in Steven’s life, for him, were his children. He was so proud of each of them, and he loved to talk about their latest accomplishments.
Besides his parents Steven is survived by his children Bradley and Emma, and their mom Monique, sister Susan, brother-in-law John, niece Jylian, nephews James and Dawson and many aunts, uncles and cousins who love and miss him."
He is predeceased by his stepmother Marie, uncles Ross Macinnis MD, Wallace Anthony, aunts Doreen Anthony, June Anthony, grandparents Jim and Millie Lawrence and Marsden G and Frances Anthony.
Cremation has taken place, there will be a graveside committal service held in the Kennetcook Cemetery on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at 4pm, Rev. Larry Harrison officiating. A Reception will follow at the Kennetcook Fire Hall.
