Obituary of Christopher "Chris" Houle

Houle, Christopher “Chris” Armand - 60, of East Walton, passed away at home, on Friday August 6th, 2021, with his family by his side. Born in Halifax on November 25th, 1960, he is the son of Donna Cluett (stepfather Ben) and the late Edgar Houle. Chris worked construction work most of his working career, and later for the Labourer’s Union in most recent years. Chris worked hard all his life and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Chris had a great sense of humour and always found something to chuckle about. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his granddaughter Maren. Chris loved the outdoors and could always be found working on a project of some sort. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, going back to his woodlot and camp and going to the beach with his wife Pam. Chris was diagnosed with cancer in 2006, he fought a hard battle at that time and won. However, the cancer returned in 2020. Chris is survived by his wife of 36 years, Pam (McLellan), daughter Natasha “Tash” Bowes (Jamie) and the light of his life, his one & only granddaughter, Maren Bowes, brother Edgar (Dawn), sister Cathy Piper (Rick) and half brothers Joe Houle and Michael Houle. Besides his father, Chris is predeceased by sister Beverly and brother Ted. The family wishes to thank the VON & the Palliative Care team for the compassionate care Chris was given. There will be a Graveside Committal Service held in the Tennecape Cemetery at 3pm on Wednesday, August 11th, 2021.
