Obituary of Brian Meldrum

Meldrum, Brian Allan – 48 of Kennetcook, it is with great sadness we announce his passing on August 24th, 2021, in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Halifax on December 21st, 1972, he was the son of Cathy Bystrom and the late Eric Meldrum. Brian was a roofer for the majority of his working years and made many great friends during this time. Brian enjoyed playing World of Warcraft, long drives, washers, being with friends and family and tending to his weed plants. Brian is survived by his loving devoted partner of 25 years Monica Harvey, sister Kimberly (Chris) Meldrum-Walsh, brothers Ryan (Lynn) Bystrom and Jason (Tracy) Bystrom, Nephews Jonathan (Haley) Meldrum, and Cameron Parsons. Niece Haylee Meldrum, Great-niece’s Zandra, MiKaa and Bella and Great-nephew Jaxon. Besides his father, Brian is predeceased by Stepfather Dan Bystrom, Maternal Grandparents Lillas and Harold Green and Paternal Grandparents Gerald and Dorothy Meldrum. There will be a Graveside Committal Service held in the North Noel Road Cemetery on Sunday, August 29th, 2021, at 2pm, Rev. Natalie Buchannan-Rutherford officiating. Please follow all Public Health guidelines, if you wish to be seated, please bring a chair.
