Auby, David “Dave” Joseph – 76 of Mount Uniacke formerly of Spryfield, it is with great sadness the family of David announces his passing on November 29th, 2021, at his home. Born on January 4th, 1945, he was the son to the late Emery and Vera (Bellew) Auby.

Dave had many years of service at DND most of them as a crane operator. He loved spending time in the woods hunting and fishing. He was always grateful for the time spent with his pal Larry. He made a great amateur Santa, and you could set your watch by his stomach, as he never missed a meal. Dave excelled at telling stories and would tell them to anyone that would listen. Dave has said that he loved Karen from the first time he met her and spoke of how proud he was of Shannon and Dana. He is leaving behind a lot of memories and will be greatly missed.

Dave is survived by his wife Karen (Wilcox) Auby, daughter Shannon (Tom), son Dana (Tammy), brothers Ken (Cindy), Don (Anne) and Michael (Jane).

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Uniacke Volunteer Fire Dept.

A service will be held at St Paul’s United Church, Mount Uniacke at 2:00pm on Saturday December 4th, 2021, Rev. Lori Crocker officiating. Proof of Covid-19 vaccinations along with identification will be required, wearing a face mask will be mandatory inside the church.
