Obituary of Marjorie Maltus

Maltus (Lake), Marjorie “Marj”. E – 92 of Windsor, formerly of Walton, passed away on March 25, 2022, in Dykeland Lodge, Windsor, NS. Born in Walton on June 2nd, 1929, she was the daughter to the late Harry and Hazel (Butland) Lake. Marj was employed by Creighton’s Limited from 1977 to 1987 as their accountant and retired due to illness. Marj always enjoyed life to the fullest, her home was her castle, filled with love and fond memories. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and fishing with her dad in the good old Walton days. Marj would visit the sick, help seniors and share her faith and compassion to all she knew as her true love and commitment was to the lord, her savior. Marj was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by long time friend, Marion Morton, special niece Karenanne Conrod and other nieces, nephews. Besides her parents, Marj is predeceased by brothers Lawrence, Frank, Harry, Gerald and Carl, sisters Frances and Sheila. Donations in memory of Marj can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society to (The Lodge That Gives) -5826 South Street, Halifax, (902-423-6183) or the Heart and Stroke Foundation (902-423-7530). Cremation has taken place. A “Celebration of Life” will be held at Dykeland Lodge at a later date. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor, NS. Rev. Debra Mosher and Rev. Garnet Parker will officiate. We would like to say a very special “Thank You” to Dr. Iona Wile and Dykeland Lodge staff of Wallace and Snow Haven Place for their compassion and caring of Marj while she was a resident there, especially in her final days.
