Obituary of Casimir Hagmann

Please share a memory of Casimir to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Casimir Hagmann, 77, formerly of Summerville Nova Scotia and Switzerland, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2022, at Haliburton Place in Windsor, after a recent decline in his health. Through his garden designs, Casimir’s hard work and incredible creativity have made this world a more beautiful place. He was on the cutting edge of landscape architectural designs for many years, with an ability to master any challenge he encountered. Casimir was truly a “Jack of all trades” - an entrepreneur, a landscape architect, a carpenter, a farmer, and most of all a father/husband. Casimir brought his passion for nature from his bustling business in Switzerland to the peaceful beauty of Nova Scotia, where he and his family have called home for 30 years. Casimir was hard working but also light hearted. He had a great sense of humor and loved to joke and laugh. Casimir is survived by his wife of 50 years, Doris, his four daughters Jenny (Dave), Corin (Adrian), Yolanda (Pirmin) and Stephanie (Gerard), as well as his four grandchildren Zachary, Jacob, Logan and Priya. He will be missed by all but will be remembered through the many places and people that he has touched. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Northwood Homecare team that provided at-home care for many years and the Halliburton Place team for their care and kindness. The Hagmann family will hold a private memorial service. Casimir loved nature and loved to share the beauty of flowers with others, so in lieu of sending flowers to the Hagmann family, please send them to someone you love, plant a tree or shrub, or work the soil. Please help us to continue his passion for making our world a beautiful place. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of the JW Allen Funeral Home, Hwy 215 Summerville (Phone 902-633-2431). Please visit our website at www.allenfh.ca if you wish to sign the guest book and/or send private condolences.
