Charles "Whitman" Lantz Obituary

Lantz, Charles Whitman – 97 of Windsor, formerly of Cambridge Hants County, passed away on January 11th, 2023, at his home in Windsor. Born in Cambridge on July 29th, 1925, he was the son of the late Charles-Anderson and Sarah (Burgess) Lantz.

Whitman was always a very hard working and motivated man; owning and operating a Dairy and Beef Cattle farm during his early years, and then working for Dexter Construction until he retired. Whitman enjoyed going for Sunday drives with his family and children where they would get to enjoy getting ice cream. He always enjoyed planting and tending to his vegetable gardens. Whitman enjoyed walking through his woodlot and could probably tell you where every tree was, he knew it that well.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to granddaughter; Yvonne for all of her help over the past few years.

Whitman is survived by wife Agnes, daughters Joy (Rod) Lake, Gerry Smith, Janice (Ken) Wilson, son Harry (Mary Lynn) Lantz, foster sons; Arthur and John Henry, 8 grandchildren; Yvonne, Phil, Kirk, Dawn, Brian, Tara, Keith and Ken, 12 greatgrandchildren, 7 great-greatgrandchildren.

Besides his parents, Whitman is predeceased by daughters Beverly, Mary, son in infancy, grandson Mark Starratt and brother Allison Lantz.
