Maude Walsh Obituary

Walsh, Mary Maude – 80 of Bramber NS, passed peacefully away on March 26th, 2023, at Dykeland Lodge, Windsor, NS. Born in Tacks Beach, Placentia Bay Newfoundland on September 25th, 1942, Mary Maude was the daughter of the late Hubert and Jesse (Hanham) Bolt.

Maude was a very special lady. She was a wonderful wife and mother. Maude lived a very simple life with Jim, her husband of 57 years, who predeceased her on January 26, 2022. Her daughter, Cindy was the jewel in her crown. She was so humble and treated her friends like family. Maude was a beautiful, loving and caring person, with a great sense of humor. There are not enough words to describe her.

Her battle with cancer six years ago never made her angry or afraid. She never once said “why me” and never said it the second time. Maude was very spiritual and always knew where she was going when it was time to leave this earth. We will miss her laugh and stern look she gave us every time we said something that she didn’t agree with.

Maude is survived by her daughter Cindy (Wayne), foster daughter Joann, grandchildren Axle and Parker, great granddaughter Xenia, twin sister Anita (George), sisters Janet (David), Bonnie (Blake), Betty (Paul), brother Alexander (Cathy), and Brother-in-law Edgar, many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by Eleanor who was Maude’s best friend for nearly fifty years. A special thank-you for her undying friendship.

Besides her parents and husband, Maude is predeceased by sister Verna (Edgar)

The care and love Maude received from the staff at Dykeland Lodge was excellent. She loved all of them and they loved her. She loved it there and will be forever loved and sadly missed.

A Graveside Committal Service will be held in the Bramber Cemetery in the Summer of 2023, date pending.
