I had the pleasure of working for Ron for 3 1/2 years at Charlottetown Branch.
Ron had the benefit of many years in the bank with much knowledge gained from those years and various branches.
Ron was the best mentor I had in 36 years in the bank. Ron had a great way to teach. He gave me lots of rope and it was my choice to either run with it or hang myself.
Even though he gave us free rein he was always there for guidance and to discuss the options. Ron was a very dedicated employee and he tried to install the same in us.
We always had growth goals however Ron would never let us recommend a deal if it was not a good deal for the bank in the long term. It took me a while to buy into that but he was bang on.
Ron had a number of sayings that I will always remember, “my opinion is worth what you pay for it” and I would rather be your friend than your banker “.
Ron taught me a lot in those 3 1/2 years both inside the bank and outside. I always respected his opinion even if we didn’t agree. Turns out, he was right a lot more than me.
My condolences to the family.
I know Ron will be missed by family and friends.
Rest in peace my friend.

Dear Kimble, Donald & Freda:
So sorry for your loss. I am Myrtle and Rawleigh's youngest daughter, Kim. I have fond memories of stopping in Saint John, NB to visit with your Mom and Dad on our way to celebrate the 4th of July in the US with relatives. I remember driving Kimble's little orange tractor in the parking lot. I got one the following year from Santa. Mom passed away in March of this year 6 days shy of her 89 birthday she lived life to the fullest right up to the end.
Life goes on but it is the wonderful memories that we hang onto that keep us going!
Prayers and blessings from our family to yours!
Kim (White) Quilty
PS: We still use the wonderful coleslaw recipe that your Mom gave to our Mom!

I was fortunate to work with Ron for 2 years in Charlottetown. He made us feel at home immediately by organizing a dinner party at his home to meet other bankers and he invited Cynthia and I over to his house on many occasions. One special memory was our trip to a ICB meeting in NS. We left a day early and Ron took me to the community he grew up in, saw his house, school and then we went to the legion and played shuffle board with the locals. I was honoured that he wanted to share this with me.
Ron had a great career in the bank, was well respected and helped me with my own career. We extend our condolences to both Kendall and Donny and the rest of the family.
