Harvey, Tanya Elaine – 70 of North Noel Road, passed away on August 20th, 2023, in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Upper Kennetcook on January 24th, 1953, Tanya was the daughter of the late Rueben Miller and Edith Hennigar.

Tanya loved spending time with family and friends; whether it be watching her favourite baseball team, the Toronto Blue Jays or having a friendly game of crib, that she seemed to always win at. She would often bring her luck down to the Rainbow Community Centre and play bingo or participate in the Heart and Stroke Foundation bingo. Tanya loved to relax on any beautiful sunny morning watching the hummingbirds flock to her feeders. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.

Tanya is survived by husband Danny Harvey Sr.; son Danny (Crystal); daughters Monica Harvey, Twila (Alex) Snair; grandsons Timothy (MacKenzie), Maverick; sisters Doris (Charlie), Sherri (Gerald), Peggy (Danny), Susan (Bill); brothers Brian (Connie), Glenn (Lori).

Besides her parents, Tanya is predeceased by daughter Tammy Annette; grandson Francis Noah; son-in-law Brian Meldrum.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Palliative Care Nurses and VON for their compassion and going above and beyond for Tanya.

A visitation will take place on Friday, August 25th, 2023, from 12 to 2pm in the J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, Kennetcook. A Graveside Committal Service will immediately follow in the St. Peters Anglican Cemetery, Upper Kennetcook, Rev. Mike Poworoznyk officiating. A gathering will be held at the Homestead after the Committal open to family and friends.
