Parker (White), Christina V.- 81 of Nine Mile River, NS.

We are heartbroken to announce the sudden loss of our beautiful mom and nanny who passed away at home in Nine Mile River on September 22, 2023. Born in Noel Road on January 18th, 1942, Christina was the daughter of the late Addison and Lina (Miller) White.

She had many friends and was a long-time volunteer in her community. Many people will remember her from working in the Pharmasave/Guardian post office for many years until her retirement. When first married, she also worked at the Royal Bank in Elmsdale but left to raise her daughter and become a fulltime homemaker.

Chris had many hobbies and interests. She was a long-time member of the Nine Mile River Women's Auxiliary. She enjoyed bingo, bowling, shopping, crib, senior games, watching her favorite team play, the Blue Jays but mostly her grandchildren. Even though she always said she didn't enjoy baking, she still did and everything she made was amazing.

She is survived by daughter Patricia (Jody), grandchildren Ethan (Anna), Takara and Alex. Brothers Hollis (Grace), Orlee (Darlene) and Don (Faye). Sisters-in-law Gloria, Laura, Shirley, Janie and many nieces and nephews.

Christina is predeceased by her husband of over 50 years, Curtis Parker. They are now together again, along with her little dog Raisin, who brought her much comfort after dad's passing.

Besides her parents and husband, Christina is predeceased by brothers Gerald "Jed", Malcolm, Wallace, Grant, Milton, Robert "Bobby" and sisters-in-law Iona and Linda.

Cremation has taken place and there will be a graveside service held at 2 pm on Saturday September 30th in the Sand Hill Cemetery, Upper Nine Mile River. Rev. Kim Curlett officiating. Celebration of life to follow at the Nine Mile River Community Center from 3-4:30 pm.
