Marion Myers Obituary

Myers, Marion Audrey – 80 of Shubenacadie, passed away on September 25th, 2023 in Cobequid Community Health Centre, Sackville, NS. Born in Halifax on August 23rd, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Neil and Mary Ann (Maidie) Myers.


Marion loved music; particularly Bluegrass. She was always ready to attend the next Jamboree with friends and family. She never missed an evening at the Seniors Club to share laughs and conversation while trying her luck at bingo. Marion was very passionate about genealogy, as she was the keeper of the family’s ancestry tree.


Marion is survived by her partner of nearly fifty years, Alton Singer of Beaverbank. Her sons; Neil Miller (Sherry) of Lantz and Michael Miller, of Maitland. Daughters; Peggy Miller, Cindy Miller (Mark) of Five Mile River, Angie Miller, stepson Kevin Singer (Heather) of Ardoise, 9 grandsons and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Brother Donald Myers (Jeanette) of Beaverbank, and sisters Elva Mitchell (Robert) of Shubenacadie, and Jean Myers of Five Mile River.


Marion is predeceased by brothers; Philip Reader 1975, Brenton Reader 2023, grandson Devin Miller, great grandson Kyle White, and ex-husband, Ronald Miller 1994.


A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, September 30, 2023, in the Kennetcook Fire Hall from 1 to 3pm. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
