Bartlett, David Lewis – 80 of Riverside Corner; it is with broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of David on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, in the Elk Court Nursing Home, Brookfield. Born in Riverside Corner on October 8th, 1943, he was the son of the late John and Beth (MacDonald) Bartlett. David enjoyed hunting, fishing and was always up for a game of crib. He prided himself on being a foster-parent for over 30 years. David held various positions throughout his working career including milkman, construction-worker, partner in Triple B Builders and most recent with Dexter Construction. David was a member of the Gore District Volunteer Fire Department, holding the position as Chief for several years. David is survived by wife of 62 years, Esther (Coolen) Bartlett; children Anne (Ralph) Sanderson, Douglas (Stacey) Bartlett , Susan (Terry) Langdon, Melodie Lombardo, Edward (Ingrid) Lombardo; daughter-in-law Jean Mercer; grandchildren Devin (Jmeleigh) Spencer, Todd (Natalie) Bartlett, Chad Bartlett, Noah Bartlett, Allan Langdon, Clara Lombardo; step-grandchildren Jason (Lisa), Teri-Lynn (Travis), Jillian (Reid), Joshua (Gina); greatgrandchildren Isaiah Bartlett, Adrian Bartlett, Kensley Spencer; step-greatgrandchildren Seth, Riley, Emma-Rae, Amber-Lynn, Natalie, Haileigh, Layla, Maverick, Brantley, Maddison, Sierra. Besides his parents, David is predeceased by son Timothy; brother John; sister Marlene Corbett; brother-in-law Ken Corbett; sister-in-law Christine Kendrick. The family of David would like to extend a special thanks to the VON nurses who cared for David as well as the Elk Court Nursing Home staff for the compassionate care he received. Donations in memory of David can be made to the West Gore Cemetery Fund or Gore District Volunteer Fire Department A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 2nd, at 2pm in the Gore District Volunteer Fire Hall.
