Hazel, Donna Kathleen-73, Scotch Village, passed away peacefully with her family by her side in the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born March 7, 1940 in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Miles and Kathleen (Jollymore) Rainforth. Moms heart and home were always open to all children of all ages. Her love and compassion for people showed through with the many lives she touched over the years. She was a mother to all that walked through her door and recognized by Family and Children Services for over 25 years of service. Donna is survived by her husband Clarie, daughters Sherry (John) Smith, Falmouth, Cindy (Donnis) Shupe, Union Corner, Leslie (Dan) Avis, Seabright and son Bradley Hazel, Scotch Village, grandchildren Jamie, Kaleigh, Holly, Amy, Dawson, Jordan and Hannah, sisters June Harvey, Ferne Stone, brothers Frank and Arnold Rainforth, she was predeceased by her brother Murray. Cremation has taken place with no visitation by request. A Celebratation of life service will be held Saturday November 9, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the Newport Baptist Church, Scotch Village, Pastor Debbie Mosher officating with a private family burial at a later date in the Century Cemetery, Scotch Village. Family flowers only but donations would be appreciated to the Newport Baptist Church, c/o Colleen Terfry, RR#1 Newport, BON 2AO. The family wish to extend their special thanks to Dr. Mark, Dr. Catherine Smith and the caring team at the Hants Community Hospital along with Krista Lloy, Margaret Fountain and the many family and friends who supported us through our journey.
